While being on a tour through Europe Lester Wunderman, often called the father of Direct marketing, has given us an interview in Prague. Wunderman, who plays an important role in Malcolm Gladwell’s “The Tipping Point”, shared his views with us on word of mouth and revealed what he called “an unfailing formular for marketing”.
Looking back on his sixty year carreer, he also described the epidemic spread of Direct marketing as an idea. The message immediately reached one of New York’s most influential people at that time, as Wunderman recalls: “The first call I got when I opened my agency was from Leonard Bernstein.”
